My Introduction: Hello

I am Pam and this is my first ever Blog.  I hope that you will find that my words are worth reading as I begin this journey in cyberspace.

What brings me to this place is that I am the mother of a heroin addict.  I struggles daily in coping with that reality and understanding.  My son, my first born, who turned thrity last April has struggled with addiction of one thing or another since he was 19 years old.  I joined a Nar-Anon group last March after my life became unmanageable and I was consummed yet again with my son's addiction.  I have found a place of peace that I do my very best to stay in, but my life is a work in progress and I admit to wandering astray at times.  Please bear with me as I discover this format for sharing my story.  My purpose is to offer insight and hope to others that share the same struggles.  If I reach just one soul who has cried out in pain over an addicted loved one, and somehow I can comfort them in any way I will feel great gratitude.  There are many blogs that have brought me great joy and insight, and I only want to share in that.  I believe that my pain shall not be in vain, that something good must come from something so horrible as living with addiction!
